Remains of a medieval monastic complex located on the steep slope of Samshvilde Canyon.

4. Paravani Lake (Javakheti)
The largest lake in Georgia, located on the Javakheti Plateau.

5. Vardzia (Javakheti)
A medieval rock-engraved city with outstanding historical and architectural value.

7. Rabati Castle (Samtskhe)
A medieval castle and stronghold in the town of Akhaltsikhe, a major tourist destination in southern Georgia.

8. Kvebiskhevi Church (Tori, Borjomi Municipality)
A medieval church located in the forest on the steep slope, near one of the entrances of Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park.

9. Okrostsikhe Fortress (Samtskhe)
Remains of a huge medieval stronghold built on the top of a high hill.

10. Arch bridges of Adjara
Three medieval stone arch bridges over the Adjaristskhali River.

11. Batumi

12. Martvili Canyon (Samegrelo)
A canyon on the Abashistskhali River.

13. Enguri Dam (Samegrelo)
One of the tallest concrete arch dams in the world.

14. Shdygra (Shdugra) Waterfall (Zemo Svaneti)
One of the largest and tallest waterfalls in Georgia, located in Zemo Svaneti.

15. Mestia (Zemo Svaneti)
A little town with traditional towers located on the banks of the Mestiachala River, an administrative center of Mestia Municipality.

16. Tetnuldi Ski Resort (Zemo Svaneti)
A new ski resort with incredible views.

17. "Love Tower" (Zemo Svaneti)
A remote tower of the Kurdiani family erected on a cliff on the right bank of the Enguri River.

18. Ushguli (Zemo Svaneti)
The last and highest settlement in Zemo Svaneti, offering scenic views of Mt. Shkhara and Lamaria Church.

19. Kutaisi City and Bagrati Church (Imereti)
One of the oldest cities of Georgia, home to the newly restored Bagrati Church.

20. Motsameta Monastery (Imereti)
A medieval monastery near Kutaisi, offering views overlooking the canyon of the Tskhaltsitela River.

21. Gelati Monastery (Imereti)
A UNESCO-enlisted major monastery built during King David IV's reign.

22. Katskhi Pillar (Imereti)
A 40-meter high pillar with a church built on it.

23. Chiatura Town (Imereti)
A miners' town known for having one of the largest systems of cable cars in the world.

24. Mtskheta and Jvari Monastery
UNESCO-listed main historical and religious center of Georgia.

25. Zhinvali Reservoir and Ananuri Complex (Mtiuleti)
A complex of temples and fortification buildings on the bank of Zhinvali Reservoir.

26. Jvari Pass Panorama
Before reaching Jvari Pass, visitors can enjoy an amazing view from a specially constructed point overlooking the sources of the Tetri Aragvi (White Aragvi) River and Kheli Plateau.

27. Bidara Travertines
Discover the yellow travertines on the left bank of the Bidara River.

28. Stepantsminda town
Stepantsminda serves as the administrative center of Khazbegi Municipality, nestled along the Terek (Tergi) River at the foot of Mt. Khuro (4071 m / 13356 ft).

29. Holy Trinity Church of Gergeti
The Holy Trinity Church of Gergeti (Georgian: გერგეტის სამება, Gergetis Sameba) is a domed church near Stepantsminda, situated on a mountain at 2200 m (7218 ft) above sea level. Offering picturesque scenery with Mt. Kazbek in the background, the church provides an amazing view of Stepantsminda and the Terek Valley.

30. Daliari Valley and Dariali Archangel Monastery
Daliari is a scenic, narrow rocky valley on the border of Georgia and Ossetia. The Dariali Archangel Church is located in the valley, at the beginning of the Khde Valley.

 

Option 2 — Khevsureti direction:
 

 

26. Datvisjvari Pass
This pass connects two parts of Khevsureti: Piraketa Khevsureti (south of the Caucasus Range, in the basin of the Khevsuretis Aragvi River) and Pirikita Khevsureti (north of the Caucasus Range).

27. Lebaiskari Tower
A well-preserved example of Khevsuretian towers, situated remotely near Datvisjvari Pass.

28. Shatili
Explore this unique fortified village renowned for its outstanding architectural and historical value.

29. Anatori Barrows
These ancient barrows were used in the past to isolate people with epidemic diseases until their death, aiming to prevent further spread of the illness. Visitors can still find skulls and bones in the barrows.

30. Mutso
Another fortified village perched on a high and extremely steep slope, boasting unique architecture.
