It's impossible to see the whole of Georgia in 10 days — that's a fact. But as our time and resources are limited, Bisna offers a 10-day tour of Georgia for those who want to see the maximum in minimal timeframes.

Overnights during the tour will be spent either in hotels or tents, depending on the tourist's choice.

In addition to this tour, if you don't have a full 10 days, Bisna also offers a one-week tour of Georgia.

— Day 1 —

1. Alaverdi Cathedral (Kakheti)
One of the major temples in Georgia, erected on the Alazani Plain.

2. Keselo Fortress (Tusheti)
A medieval fortress with several towers above the village of Omalo, offering scenic views of the valleys of Tusheti.

— Day 2 —

3. Dartlo (Tusheti)
A Tushetian village with traditional houses and towers, located on the left bank of the Pirikita Alazani River.

4. Dochu (Tusheti)
A scenic village with an extreme location on the very ridge of a small range.

5. Sighnaghi town (Kakheti)
A picturesque town built on a hilltop, featuring narrow, cobblestone streets, pastel buildings, and nice views of the surrounding Kakheti scenery.

— Day 3 —

6. Pirghebuli Monastery (Kvemo Kartli)
Remains of a medieval monastic complex located on the steep slope of Samshvilde Canyon.

7. Paravani Lake (Javakheti)
The largest lake in Georgia, located on the Javakheti Plateau.

8. Vardzia (Javakheti)
A medieval rock-engraved city with outstanding historical and architectural value, one of the most important historical sites and tourist attractions in Georgia.

9. Vanis Kvabebi (Javakheti)
An unique medieval rock-engraved monastery, featuring a domed church built in the middle of a steep rock.

— Day 4 —

10. Rabati Castle (Samtskhe)
A medieval castle and stronghold in the town of Akhaltsikhe. The newly restored castle is a major tourist destination in southern Georgia.

11. Kvebiskhevi Church (Tori, Borjomi Municipality)
A medieval church located in the forest, on a steep slope near one of the entrances of Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park.

12. Okrostsikhe Fortress (Samtskhe)
Remains of a huge medieval stronghold, Okrostsikhe (Golden Fortress), built on the top of a high hill.

13. Mtsvane Tba Lake (Adjara)
After several kilometers of light hiking, you'll see the picturesque Mtsvane Tba Lake (Mtsvane Tba means "Green Lake" in Georgian).

14. Arch bridges of Adjara
Three medieval stone arch bridges (Purtio, Dandalo, and Makhuntseti Bridges) over the Adjaristskhali River.

15. Batumi
The second largest city in Georgia and the capital of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara. The seaside city features modern high-rise buildings as well as classical 19th-century architecture.

— Day 6 —

16. Martvili Canyon (Samegrelo)
Also known as Gachedili Canyon, it's a canyon on the Abashistskhali River.

17. Enguri Dam (Samegrelo)
One of the tallest concrete arch dams in the world (the tallest until 2010), with a height of 271.5 meters (891 feet), holding the water mass of the Jvari Reservoir, built as a part of Enguri HPP.

18. Shdygra (Shdugra) Waterfall (Zemo Svaneti)
After several kilometers of light hiking, you'll see one of the largest and tallest waterfalls in Georgia, located on the left tributary of the Dolra River, Becho, in Zemo Svaneti.

— Day 7 —

19. Mestia (Zemo Svaneti)
A small town with traditional towers located on the banks of the Mestiachala River, serving as the administrative center of Mestia Municipality.

20. Tetnuldi Ski Resort (Zemo Svaneti)
A new ski resort offering incredible views.

21. "Love Tower" (Zemo Svaneti)
A remote tower of the Kurdiani family erected on a cliff on the right bank of the Enguri River, commonly known as the "Love Tower" due to the folk love story it is linked with.

22. Ushguli (Zemo Svaneti)
Ushguli Temi — the last and highest settlement in Zemo Svaneti and one of the highest settlements in all of Europe, located near the foothills of Mt. Shkhara (5201 m; 17064 ft), the highest peak in Georgia and the Main Caucasus Range. Its four villages with numerous towers and scenic views of Mt. Shkhara and Lamaria Church offer an unforgettable experience.

— Day 8 —

There are two options for this day, depending on the type of vehicle we are traveling with and the weather conditions.

 

 

Option 1 (in the case of off-road vehicle and good weather conditions):
 

 

23. Chikhareshi St. George Church — Okon Dabishi (Kvemo Svaneti)
A quaint small church located in the village of Chikhareshi, featuring fascinating frescoes.

24. Ghvirishi Waterfall (Lechkhumi)
A tall and picturesque waterfall situated along the route to Nakuraleshi village.

25. Nakuraleshi Church (Lechkhumi)
A medieval church renowned for its well-preserved, vibrant frescoes. Visitors may also encounter peculiar gravestones adjacent to the church, within the cemetery.

26. Kutaisi City and Bagrati Church (Imereti)
One of Georgia's oldest cities, nestled along the banks of the Rioni River, and home to the newly restored Bagrati Church.

27. Motsameta Monastery (Imereti)
A medieval monastery located near Kutaisi, positioned on a "peninsula" formed by the trajectory of the Tskhaltsitela River, offering scenic views of the river canyon.

28. Gelati Monastery (Imereti)
A UNESCO World Heritage site, this significant monastery was constructed during the reign of King David IV. It stands as one of Georgia's most remarkable architectural and historical landmarks.

26. Kutaisi City and Bagrati Church (Imereti)
Kutaisi is one of Georgia's oldest cities, situated on the banks of the Rioni River. It is renowned for the newly restored Bagrati Church.

27. Motsameta Monastery (Imereti)
A medieval monastery located near Kutaisi, positioned on a "peninsula" formed by the trajectory of the Tskhaltsitela River. It offers picturesque views overlooking the river canyon.

28. Gelati Monastery (Imereti)
This UNESCO-listed monastery was constructed during the reign of King David IV. It stands as one of Georgia's most significant architectural and historical sites.

— Day 9 —

29. Katskhi Pillar (Imereti)
A 40-meter (131 ft) high pillar with a church built on top, once serving as an old monastic center.

30. Chiatura Town (Imereti)
A mining town characterized by districts located on high slopes on both sides of the Khvirila River. Chiatura boasts one of the largest systems of cable cars in the world.

31. Mtskheta and Jvari Monastery
This includes the iconic Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, Samtavro Nunnery, the historic town of Mtskheta, and the Jvari Monastery (Holy Cross Monastery), all UNESCO-listed as the main historical and religious center of Georgia.

— Day 10 —

32. Zhinvali Reservoir and Ananuri Complex (Mtiuleti)
Ananuri is a complex featuring temples and fortification buildings situated on the banks of the Zhinvali Reservoir.
Following this, there are two options available for this day as well, depending on the preferences of the tourists:

 

 

Option 1 — Khevi (Khazbegi Municipality) direction:
 

33. Jvari Pass Panorama
Just before reaching Jvari Pass, there's a specially constructed viewpoint offering an amazing vista of the sources of the Tetri Aragvi (White Aragvi) River and the Kheli Plateau.

34. Bidara Travertines
Discover the yellow travertines located on the left bank of the Bidara River.

35. Stepantsminda Town
Stepantsminda serves as the administrative center of Khazbegi Municipality, nestled along the Terek (Tergi) River, at the foot of Mount Khuro (4071 m / 13356 ft).

36. Holy Trinity Church of Gergeti
The Holy Trinity Church of Gergeti (Georgian: გერგეტის სამება, Gergetis Sameba) is a domed church located near Stepantsminda, perched on a mountain at 2200 m (7218 ft) above sea level. Offering a picturesque backdrop of Mount Kazbek, the church provides breathtaking views of Stepantsminda and the Terek Valley.

37. Daliari Valley and Dariali Archangel Monastery
Dariali is a scenic, narrow rocky valley situated on the border between Georgia and Ossetia. The Dariali Archangel Church stands in the valley, marking the beginning of the Khde Valley.

Option 2 — Khevsureti direction:
 

 

33. Datvisjvari Pass
This pass serves as a vital link connecting two regions of Khevsureti: Piraketa Khevsureti (south of the Caucasus Range, within the basin of Khevsuretis Aragvi River) and Pirikita Khevsureti (north of the Caucasus Range).

34. Lebaiskari Tower
An excellently preserved example of Khevsuretian towers, situated in the remote vicinity of Datvisjvari Pass.

35. Shatili
A unique fortified village boasting exceptional architectural and historical significance.

36. Anatori Barrows
These ancient burial mounds were once used for individuals afflicted with epidemic diseases, who were placed there until their passing to prevent further spread of the illness. Remains such as skulls and bones can still be found within the barrows.

37. Mutso
Yet another fortified village perched on a high and extremely steep slope, featuring distinctive architectural characteristics.
